What we believe

Jesus said the two things He desires most of His people are to “love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your strength” and to” love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39). Therefore, that is our mission: Love God. Love people.

Here at Connection Church we believe we were masterfully created for the purpose of bringing glory to God (Psalm 139:13-14, Isaiah 43:7). We believe God is holy, perfect, unchanging, and full of love and compassion. He is sovereign over all things, all powerful and ever present. He is one God who exists in 3 persons- the person of the Father, the person of the Son- Jesus, and the person of the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God. We believe His Word is living, active, timeless and true (Hebrews 4:12). We believe humans were created to be in fellowship with God. We believe all people are sinners (Romans 3:23). We believe sin separates us from God and that in our own strength and power, we are incapable of ridding our lives of sin and thus there is no way to draw near to God on our own. We believe God desires to rescue every person from the miry muck of our sin and reconcile us back to Him (2 Peter 3:9,Psalm 40:2). We believe the only way to be reconciled back to God and receive salvation is through faith in the saving grace of His Son Jesus who loves us and gave Himself for us (Ephesians 2:8, 5:2). We believe the offer of salvation to every human through the cleansing blood of Jesus is GOOD NEWS! We believe anyone who belongs to Christ Jesus has become a brand new creation- the old has gone and the new has come (2 Cor. 5:17). The joy, peace and innumerable other benefits of salvation to believers begin the moment they put true faith in Jesus. Therefore, with thanksgiving for Jesus and His love for us, we believe it is our reasonable act of worship to offer our whole selves back to the Lord for His service and to share this good news with others (Romans 12:1).

We believe there are no perfect people, and therefore, no perfect church. Yet, God desires for His people to assemble together to encourage one another, worship Him and grow in the grace and knowledge of God (Hebrews 10:25).  We believe all believers everywhere are part of the family of God. We would love to have you join us in worship!
